Global Summit for Dignified Menopause
Menopause will directly affect approximately 50% of the world population. Furthermore, it will indirectly impact a much higher proportion, and yet, many are totally unaware of the signs and symptoms, let alone the potential solutions.
Goal: Ensure dignity throughout the full life cycle of menstruators as a human right, and for justice and equality.
The Menopause Inclusion Collective has come together with the Radha Paudel Foundation and the Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation to deliver an event that highlights the global diversity of menopause experiences and perspectives, across the themes of the summit;
Themes:
1. Dignified Menstruation = Dignified Menopause.
2. Menopause in the home, and in the workplace.
3. Menopause and education.
4. Menopause and the media. A help or a hindrance?
GSCDM (Global South Coalition for Dignified Menstruation[1]) defined that the ``State free from any forms of menstrual discrimination including stigma, taboos, abuse, violence associated with menstruation throughout the life cycle of menstruators’’ is called dignified menstruation.
