Pledges to Inclusive Menopause Experiences

Our events are open to all, regardless of age or gender, because it's important to us that everyone knows about the menopause. It's not just a women's issue.
The founders of Menopause Cafe charity included diversity of gender, race, neurodiversity, trauma experience and class, so we know how important representation and inclusion is. We also know that we unintentionally exclude people and we would like to learn to become more inclusive.
- Rachel Weiss, Chairperson, Menopause Cafe

I am also on a mission to empower women during menopause.'
Alyssa Blais, Canada

Growing up in a multicultural household, and having spent 28 years working on the ground as a consumer insights specialist in Asia, Africa and Latin America sometimes with ultra low income communities I know that menopause support has to include everyone not just a privileged few if we are to truly make a change.
— Clarissa Kristjansson

The way in which women live in the world has changed significantly. Life expectancy, career and caring responsibilities all impact on our menopause. Employers have a duty to ensure the wellbeing of women in the workplace, including that of the menopause
— Jane Gebbie

There is still so much work to be done to ensure everyone who experiences menopause is included in conversations and decision making. I’m committed to supporting achievement of this - when inclusion becomes ‘just the way things are done’ - then I can stop!
Sarah Williams - Equality Counts
