An event from Black All Year

During International Women's Day we rightly celebrate all the achievements of women we also need to recognise that not all women have equity of experience or exposure.

It would be great if over the next few days and weeks you put an equity lens over the IWD events and discussions. Are the experiences of Black women, people with a disability, LGBT+ women appropriately reflected and are these groups (and intersections of these) represented? Or are we just seeing a view that is White, non-disabled, educated...

This is one of the reasons for hosting Black All Year - Menopause, the Black Experience next week with Anita Powell. We need to address the lack of Black representation and conversation in the menopause field - after all Black women have the menopause too.
